The Halifax County Convention & Visitors Bureau commissioned research in 2013 from the North Carolina State University History Department, to enable the creation of the Halifax Underground Railroad Trail. Extensive research was completed regarding Freedom Seekers with connections to Halifax County, North Carolina. The following links are the results of this study.
